Bear Country Property Management is looking for a Front Desk Agent. We are located at Sun Peaks Ski Resort, British Columbia. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring guests at our property have a satisfying stay. The duties include taking reservations, and welcoming guests & owners, checking guests in and out, and issuing room keys.

Basic computer knowledge is required, and Hotel experience is an asset. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Starting Wage $19 per hour

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greeting guests upon their arrival and providing a hospitable welcome
• Recording client information in the company’s PMS software and directing them to their designated rooms
• Receiving calls, conducting room reservations, and verifying existing bookings
• Processing customer payments and presenting them with the bill upon check-out
• Answer the phone and direct the call
• Answer any questions guests have
• Keeping the front desk neat, orderly, and sanitized at all times 
• Assist other departments as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to commute/relocate:     Sun Peaks, BC
• Hotel/Hospitality Experience:   1 year preferred but we will train
• Language:                                English
• Licence/Certification:               Valid BC Drivers License
• Education:                                High School Diploma, Degree in hotel management is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Amazing interpersonal abilities
• Top-of-the-line organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Amazing time management skills
• A degree in hotel management is preferred
• Incredibly detail oriented
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Bear Country is looking for motivated, dedicated individuals with a positive attitude. Duties are general cleaning of hotel rooms, condos, and vacation homes.

Wage $19 per hour

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest suites/rooms to ensure guest satisfaction
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Clean up spills with the appropriate equipment
• Notify managers of necessary repairs
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Assist guests when necessary
• Keep linen room stocked
• Properly clean upholstered furniture

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to commute/relocate: Sun Peaks, BC
Language: English
License/Certification: Valid BC Drivers License
Education: High School Diploma

• Ability to manage your time efficiently
• Work well unsupervised
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Handle basic maintenance and cleaning
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests

Bear Country Property Management is looking for a Maintenance Attendant. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Ideally suited for someone with previous experience in the industry, mechanically inclined with a strong willingness to learn and leadership skills. Training will be provided for the right candidate

Starting Wage $19 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Performs minor repair of buildings and equipment
• Repair doors, door locks and closets, install window blinds
• Complete daily and weekly Unit inspections
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Attending to guest requests
• Assist with renovations, repair drywall, touch up paint
• Pick up garbage, sweep walkways, snow removal, carpet cleans

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

• Professional with strong communication and customer service skills
• Training in swimming pool and hot tub chemistry are definite assets, but not required
• Mechanical/Plumbing and/or electrical experience an asset but not required
• Valid class 5 BC driver’s license – Clear drivers record
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow direction, work independently, and in a team environment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and physically fit
• Appropriate outdoor wear (boots, rain pants, etc.) – Jacket with company logo will be provided
