Organized in partnership with Run Like A Girl (RLAG), the event promises a challenging race and a celebration of team spirit and nature. Course Information

The courses of the Top of the World Ultramarathon are accessible from the Sun Peaks Main Village, specifically at the base of the Sunburst Express Chair Lift. For those taking the 50km route, brace yourself for a rewarding journey. This route ascends through technical trails, meadows, and forests, reaching a peak elevation of 2130 meters at the summit of Mount Tod. From here, you’ll cross to Orient Hill and descend to Little McGillivray Lake before confronting the final ascent of Mount Morrisey. The 28km route combines rugged climbs and thrilling descents. Participants will ascend to the summit of Mount Tod before returning to the Sunburst Express and descending via the Valley View Trail. The 15km route offers a condensed route, leading participants to the top via the Sunburst Express before descending again via the Valley View Trail, complemented by spectacular views.

Volunteer Opportunities

Numerous volunteer opportunities are available for those who prefer to support from the sidelines. Volunteers are essential in ensuring the event’s smooth operation and all participants’ safety. Positions include course marshals, aid station crews, first aid personnel, event set-up and takedown teams, pre-course sweepers, and more.
